Alexis Wonderview High School

Let's get to know High School Senior Alexis. She is graduating from Wonderview High School in May. She plans to attend college at Arkansas State in Jonesboro and get my majors in both psychology and criminal justice. After college, I plan to work for the FBI.

Tonya, Lexi's mom says she is so proud of Alexis for several reasons.  "First, she has a heart for God. She has spent her life in church serving God transitioning from an altar server to Eucharist minister.  This is why she has such a strong moral compass. She is so smart and a thinker.  Sometimes too much! She's hard-headed, a hard worker, and a loyal friend.  She is a leader who marches to the beat of her own drum.  She is an overcomer.  She has battled through big obstacles with grace. She's a tomboy who cleans up nice.  Exactly what I wanted her to be.  I think those girls have the most fun.  She's been beautiful from the day she was born inside and out."

"Am I anxious? No , maybe a little sad she won't be living under my roof, but that's all.  I am so excited to see her spread those wings!  This is what she's been preparing herself to do for so long.  She's going to do big things!" Tonya.

When asked what her dreams are for Lexi, "To find the calling God intended for her.  I want all the things for her, but most importantly I want her to be happy.  If she listens to him, she'll have that."

I asked her mom to give me her fondest memory.

"Extremely hard to choose just one.  Having a daughter like Alexis has been a blessing.  If I had to choose just one, I'd have to choose the most recent.  Alexis has long dreamed of playing college softball.   She spent many years working toward this goal with blood, sweat, and tears.  She has had the opportunity to meet with several wonderful coaches and visit some beautiful campuses.  The day she committed to ASU Jonesboro was huge!  This day she was introduced to her future teammates and even prayed with them before they left on the team bus.  She was super excited to tour the campus and discuss her future with the criminology professor.    She even had what she described as a "God Wink" while on tour.  One of the things we discussed on our drive to the school that morning was finding a church.  When we entered the cafeteria, there was a table of youth handing out mass times. Perfect!  After working so hard, she finally found a home where she could play ball while pursuing her dream career."

Next I asked Lexi for her fondest high school memory.  "1-my fondest high school memory would be the day that I signed in front of my whole school to go play softball for Arkansas State in Jonesboro!"

I questioned what Lexi would do if she had $100K to spend now. "I would put the majority of it towards schooling for my brother and I and the rest spend it on a trip to Germany for my whole family."

Here is what Lexi had to say about her senior experience with our studio.

"In the sorority, I made many friends and had such a fun time with all of the other sorority members. I really feel like the other girls and I have a really close bond. Before my session, I remember being nervous because I had never done any type of photo shoot beforehand. Kimberly made me feel really comfortable by telling me how to pose and having fun during the whole session. She helped with any questions we had including what to wear."
